BEN GARDNER

BEN is an artist, writer, and musician. He started drawing on bowling score pads that his parents brought home from their league, obsessing over Commander Markโs drawing show โThe Secret Cityโ when he was young. His recent work combines medieval illuminated manuscripts and his interest in folklore, superstition, myth, and storytelling.
Gardner coordinates university student experiences at the Eskenazi Museum of Art in Bloomington. Previously he taught drawing at Drake University and comes from a long line of educators and farmers. He publishes books as Adorcist Books, zines through Theurgical Studies Press, and makes dungeon synth music as ASURTA. He lives with his spouse and two children in Bloomington, Indiana.
